Türkiye has claimed the third spot in global cryptocurrency ownership rates, according to Triple-A’s latest report. With an ownership rate of 19.3%, Türkiye only trails behind the United Arab Emirates and Singapore, highlighting its significant stance in the digital currency world. The overall number of global cryptocurrency users has jumped to 562 million, marking an increase in digital currency adoption worldwide.
Bitcoin and Ethereum dominate Türkiye’s cryptocurrency scene, as reported by Paribu, a Turkish trading platform. The platform also noted a trend towards short-term trading among Türkiye’s cryptocurrency users, with a significant majority engaging in Bitcoin transactions.
A surge in cryptocurrency interest within the country is evident, as many users have started trading within the last six months. Daily account checks are routine for a considerable portion of traders, indicating a proactive approach to cryptocurrency investments.
The increase in global cryptocurrency ownership is especially pronounced in Asia and South America, reflecting a growing acceptance of digital currencies across different regions. This trend underscores the expanding influence of cryptocurrencies in global finance and technology sectors.
