Bolivia’s Bisa Bank Launches USDT Services, Marking Major Crypto Milestone

Bolivia’s financial landscape is transforming as Bisa Bank pioneers USDT stablecoin integration into traditional banking. This groundbreaking move enables customers to conduct secure cryptocurrency transactions while maintaining regulatory compliance.

The bank’s new service suite includes purchase, sale, and custody options for USDT, with competitive fees starting at $5. Daily transaction limits range from 200 to 10,000 USDT, ensuring controlled and secure operations.

ASFI banking regulator endorses this development, highlighting its importance in reducing cryptocurrency market risks. The initiative follows Bolivia’s June decision to permit cryptocurrency usage within the national banking system, resulting in doubled crypto trading volumes.

This strategic move addresses Bolivia’s dollar scarcity challenges while positioning the country at the forefront of stablecoin adoption in Latin America.
