Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) emerged as the most followed crypto figure overall with 9 million combined followers. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin followed closely behind with 7.7 million.
Former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, MicroStrategy’s Michael Saylor, and Ark Invest’s Cathie Wood rounded out the top five most followed individuals.
The research pulled the top influencers from a list of the 30 most powerful people in crypto in 2023. Other names included Chamath Palihapitiya, Marc Andreessen, and oinbase">Coinbase’s Brian Armstrong.
Disgraced FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried ranked 10th with 1.9 million followers, despite his fall from grace.
The analysis highlights how crypto leaders leverage social media to build influence and shape narratives. As the industry matures, large follower counts may indicate growing mainstream popularity.
