Changpeng Zhao (CZ), the former CEO of Binance, recently revealed that despite leading one of the world’s largest crypto exchanges, he personally engages in very little trading. In a post on X, CZ stated, “I don’t trade much at all. I spend crypto, and where I need to spend fiat, I convert what I need to spend. The rest is in crypto.” His portfolio consists mainly of Binance Coin (BNB), itcoin">Bitcoin (BTC), and some stablecoins.
CZ reportedly controls around 64% of BNB’s total supply, making him one of the largest holders of the fifth-largest cryptocurrency by market cap. Despite his heavy concentration in BNB, he has previously advised followers to diversify their investments rather than going all-in on a single asset. His approach reflects a long-term belief in crypto rather than active trading—a notable stance given his background in operating a high-volume exchange.
The disclosure offers insight into CZ’s personal investment strategy, contrasting with the fast-paced trading culture often associated with crypto markets. While he remains deeply invested in BNB, his endorsement of diversification suggests a cautious approach for retail investors. As regulatory scrutiny continues around Binance and its token, CZ’s holdings and public statements remain a focal point for market observers.
