Cardano’s Founder Reveals Insights on New Wallet Upgrade

Cardano’s founder Charles Hoskinson recently brought attention to the latest release of the Lace cryptocurrency wallet through a tweet. Lace has seen frequent upgrades ever since its mainnet launch back in April 2023, with each new iteration bringing improved usability by way of added features. Hoskinson expressed excitement that multi-delegation capabilities have finally arrived on Lace, noting that the much-anticipated delegation portfolios will come next for the wallet.

The Cardano-based Lace Web3 light wallet has received a monumental update with the rollout of Lace 1.5. This new release contains a beta version of multi-delegation staking, also known as multi-staking, which grants Lace users the ability to delegate their ADA holdings to numerous staking pools without needing to divide funds across multiple accounts. Users can now stake their ADA to up to 5 pools at once, with room to increase that number in future releases. The addition of beta multi-staking came as a result of strong community demand. However, Ledger hardware wallet integration does not yet allow multi-staking – the developers are working to add support in upcoming releases.

Even with ADA’s price still depressed around $0.247, Cardano continues to power forward with development activity. According to an insights report from on-chain analytics provider Santiment, Cardano remains among the top 10 projects by development growth. While Cardano had previously surpassed Polkadot and Kusama earlier this summer in terms of development rate, it has since fallen behind those two again. Nonetheless, Cardano remains firmly in the top 3 by overall development activity. Santiment points out that active GitHub development is one of the most important signals for a project, as it indicates confidence in future success, plans for new features on the horizon, and decreased chances of the project being an exit scam.
