Google Introduces AI-Powered Ad Features

On Wednesday, Alphabet’s Google announced the launch of two new AI-driven features that will help advertisers find the most effective ad placements across its various platforms.

Over the past few months, the tech industry has witnessed a significant shift towards AI dominance due to the introduction of innovative chatbots that can engage individuals in open-ended conversations by Google and other corporations. Additionally, these companies are increasingly utilizing AI to provide enhanced services to advertisers who are their primary source of revenue.

Google already offers AI advertising features, but it just started applying the technology to assist clients in achieving more specific objectives for their advertisements.

Demand Gen, one of the new features, uses AI to put an advertiser’s photo and video advertising across a number of platforms, including Gmail, the YouTube feed, and Shorts, YouTube’s answer to the well-known short-form video app TikTok.

According to Vidhya Srinivasan, Vice President and General Manager of Advertising at Google, AI technology will eliminate the need for advertisers to determine where to place their ads. Instead, they will focus on finding placements that are “shiny, visual, and immersive” to showcase their products or services.

Early testing indicates that advertisers earned 40% more video views with the new technology, Srinivasan added.

She also said that brands will be able to concentrate more on their marketing strategy and storytelling when AI takes care of some of the tedious tasks for advertisers.
