Elon Musk Criticized for XRP Scam Posts on X Platform

A fresh onslaught of fraudulent posts promoting fakeXRP"> XRP airdrops on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, has exposed flaws in Elon Musk’s assurances about curbing scams.

Despite Musk touting a supposed 90% reduction in scams under his watch, cryptocurrency users argue the situation has hardly improved. Crypto influencer Coach K Crypto called out Musk directly, questioning why numerous obvious scam posts remain unaddressed daily.

Musk previously claimed “dramatic improvements” in X’s ability to detect malicious actors. But crypto holders continue getting duped by scammers, some even tagging Musk in frustration over the ongoing fraud.

Ripple and its XRP token have long been prime targets due to XRP’s popularity. However, XRP scams have proliferated in recent months amid increased attention on Ripple’s legal victories and upcoming celebratory events.

This heightened profile appears to have emboldened bad actors seeking to capitalize on the hype around Ripple and XRP. The proliferation of fake XRP airdrops indicates X still has major work to do in order to gain users’ trust that rampant crypto fraud will no longer be tolerated under Musk’s management.
