Wemade and 2TG Bring Blockchain Gaming to New RPGs

Wemade, a leading game developer from South Korea with over 20 years of experience, has partnered with Canadian game studio 2TG Entertainment to launch two new medieval fantasy strategy role-playing games (RPGs) on the WEMIX PLAY blockchain gaming platform in 2024.

The first game, “To the Grave: The Battle for Faenora,” is a multiplayer real-time strategy RPG inspired by classic tactical RPGs like Final Fantasy Tactics and Ogre Battle. Set in the fantasy world of Faenora, players will recruit, train, and customize an army of 30 distinct soldier classes, including knights, clerics, ninjas, and dragon masters, each with unique strategic strengths. The game will incorporate Web3Lynx technology to establish an inter-game economy, allowing players to trade legendary NFT units and equipment with each other to customize their armies.

The second game is “To the Grave: The Wildlands of Faenora,” a free-to-play, squad-based rogue-lite auto-battler RPG with retro pixel art visuals. Each playthrough will feature randomized paths, enemies, and loot, requiring players to make strategic choices to progress. Players can develop their heroes over time and unlock new classes and skills. The rogue-lite elements and procedural generation on each playthrough will provide fresh experiences.

Both games demonstrate the exciting potential of blockchain technology in gaming by enabling cross-game utilization of assets and characters. As a pioneer in blockchain gaming, Wemade aims to accelerate blockchain adoption through its WEMIX platform. The partnership with 2TG Entertainment represents one of over 100 deals Wemade has secured to bring Web2 and Web3 games to WEMIX PLAY and its network of over 9 million users.
