Binance Airdrops $3M in BNB to Users in Earthquake-Stricken Morocco

Following the devastating earthquake in Morocco, Binance Charity announced today that it will distribute up to $3 million in BNB cryptocurrency to Binance users living in the impacted areas. The identification of recipients will be based on Proof of Address documentation completed prior to September 9th in the hard-hit Marrakesh-Safi Province, where each verified user will receive $100 in BNB.

Binance recognizes many affected users may not have completed the address verification process yet. So users who finish address verification between September 9th and 30th will be sent $25 in BNB.

Binance will also airdrop $10 in BNB to active users across unaffected parts of Morocco, expecting to reach about 70,000 people nationwide.

The BNB distributions start on September 12th. Binance Charity has also opened a public crypto donation address, pledging to forward all funds received to an authorized NGO assisting Morocco earthquake victims.

Binance CEO CZ commented: “This earthquake’s impact on Moroccans is tragic. We hope to provide meaningful support to those affected. For unaffected recipients, please pass the funds to others in need.”
