Microsoft chairman and CEO Satya Nadella has revealed plans to extensively integrate artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities across Microsoft’s entire range of products and services.
In his annual letter, Nadella stated the next generation of AI will reshape all software categories and businesses, including Microsoft itself. He said every customer solution and layer of Microsoft’s technology stack will be reimagined for the AI era.
Nadella highlighted Microsoft’s AI Copilot as an example, saying it will be built into the company’s most-used products and experiences, as well as offered as a standalone app.
He cited natural language processing and generative AI as two key breakthroughs enabling this new phase of AI proliferation. Nadella said AI will help people interact with data and uncover insights faster than ever.
Microsoft has already started incorporating Copilot across services like Office 365, Dynamics 365, and GitHub. But Nadella’s letter signals AI integration will broaden much further in the years ahead as Microsoft bets heavily on emerging capabilities.
