In a tweet posted on Sunday, June 25, the YouTube personality discussed an invitation he had received to partake in an expedition to explore the Titanic wreckage via a submarine. He stated that he declined the offer and expressed that the prospect of having accepted such an invitation was unsettling.
Furthermore, he provided evidence of the invitation he received via iMessage from a friend, which included the message, “Also, I’m going to the Titanic in a submarine late this month. The team would be stoked to have you along,” followed by a screenshot of the message exchange.
This statement was made shortly after the US Coast Guard officially reported the unfortunate passing of five individuals who were aboard a submersible that was exploring the Titanic wreckage on June 22. The submersible reportedly experienced a “catastrophic implosion” while navigating the depths of the ocean. It has been reported that the underwater vehicle experienced a loss of communication with its primary vessel approximately one hour and fifteen minutes after beginning its descent to the depths of the North Atlantic Ocean on the morning of June 18th.
