Innovative layer-1 blockchain network Saga is changing the crypto gaming landscape with its latest play-to-airdrop initiative. In a strategic move, Saga will offer rewards to gamers for playing popular titles across networks like Solana, Avalanche, and Polygon.
The “Three Kingdoms” promotion features multiplayer games operating on both Saga and one of the other leading smart contract platforms. Starting January 20th, the campaign includes gaming hits like Forest Knight, MixMob, Necrodemic by Bullieverse, and StarHeroes.
Saga co-founder Rebecca Liao hinted at such cross-chain collaborations with firms building on Avalanche and Polygon in recent interviews. This month, Saga opened up airdrop eligibility to users across multiple chains. The play-to-airdrop model lets gamers earn a share of Saga’s hotly anticipated SAGA token before its full launch this spring.
By incentivizing usage across networks, Saga aims to rapidly bootstrap security and adoption for its fast and low-cost blockchain. If the initiative gains traction among gamers and developers, it could cement Saga as the chain of choice for crypto-powered multiplayer experiences.
