Billionaire Brawl: Musk and Zuckerberg to Face Off in Cage Fight Featuring Jiu-Jitsu and ‘Walrus’ Tactics

Merely six weeks ago, the founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, participated in his inaugural jujitsu tournament, earning a few medals and sharing a photo of himself on Instagram, basking in his victory. Presently, the billionaire has been invited to engage in a cage match by another billionaire, namely Elon Musk, and Zuckerberg appears to be willing to participate.

Amidst reports that Meta, the parent company of Facebook, is developing a social media platform to compete with Twitter, which Elon Musk acquired in October, Musk has been targeting Zuckerberg on social media. On Tuesday, during a Twitter discussion about Meta’s alleged intentions, Musk seemed to concur with the notion that Meta has imitated similar social media firms.

In a humorous tone, another individual cautioned Musk to exercise caution since Zuckerberg is currently practicing jujitsu.

Subsequently, Musk replied by stating, “If he is, then I am also willing to participate in a cage match, lol.”

A day following this exchange, Zuckerberg shared a screenshot of Musk’s tweet on Instagram, accompanied by the caption: “Send Me Location.”

Subsequently, Musk tweeted “Vegas Octagon,” alluding to the Ultimate Fighting Championship venue.

Musk added that he possesses a unique technique, which he refers to as “The Walrus,” wherein he simply rests on top of his adversary and takes no action.

There was no prompt response from Musk when asked for a comment. When questioned about Zuckerberg’s Instagram post, Elana Widmann, a spokeswoman for Meta, stated to The Washington Post in a statement: “The story is self-explanatory.”

It remains uncertain whether the proposed fight between the two billionaires will materialize, with some combat sports experts expressing doubt. Nonetheless, internet users have speculated on the possible outcome of such an event. While Musk’s background in fighting is not well-known, Zuckerberg has been publicly showcasing his physical prowess in recent times. Towards the end of May, he shared a picture of himself donning a camouflaged vest and revealed that he had completed 300 squats, 200 push-ups, and 100 pull-ups while carrying a 20-pound weighted pack.

Zuckerberg has been open about his fondness for Brazilian jujitsu and mixed martial arts, mentioning on “The Joe Rogan Experience” in August of 2022 that he had developed an interest in martial arts “within the past 12 months.” He has been open about his fondness for Brazilian jujitsu and mixed martial arts, mentioning on “The Joe Rogan Experience” in August of 2022 that he had developed an interest in martial arts “within the past 12 months.”

Zuckerberg expressed his appreciation for martial arts, stating that “it is undoubtedly the finest sport.” He further added that he was captivated by the activity from his first session, as he realized within five minutes that it was something he had been missing out on.

In October, Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, attended an unconventional UFC event that had only a few spectators in attendance, with most seats remaining unoccupied. Despite being a white belt, Zuckerberg took part in a jujitsu competition in May, where he won both a gold and a silver medal. According to reports, he was choked unconscious during one of the matches, but he disputed this claim in an email to The New York Times earlier this month.

The focus of Musk’s interaction with Zuckerberg revolves around Meta’s intention to introduce a social media platform that competes with Twitter. The company confirmed its intentions to various media outlets in March, and recent reports suggest that the new app may be called Threads. Meta representatives are promoting it as a more stable platform than Twitter, which has experienced a decline in advertiser participation since Musk assumed control in October.

Musk derisively tweeted about Meta’s alleged upcoming platform, stating that “at the very least, it will be ‘sane.’ I had concerns for a moment.” Shortly after, he declared his willingness to fight Zuckerberg in a cage.
