Popular memecoin">memecoin project Shiba Inu has launched Shib Name Service (SNS) on its layer-2 platform Shibarium. SNS aims to establish “Shibdentity” for decentralized digital identity management using intuitive, human-readable addresses.
The Shiba Inu team says SNS is fully decentralized, enhancing security, user experience, and censorship resistance. It puts control of digital IDs back into users’ hands versus centralized systems.
Shibarium has seen significant activity since its mainnet launch in August, with over 3.5 million transactions and 1.3 million blocks. Its focus is reducing costs and increasing speed for Shiba Inu’s ecosystem.
The introduction of SNS represents a major step toward building out Shibarium’s capabilities. The human-readable addressing system should significantly improve usability and adoption. Shiba Inu continues its ambitious roadmap to become a key player in the decentralized world.
